A couple of years ago we worked out a very ambitious  programme: to build up a B&B in Naples, Italy,  completely different from a typical  B&B according to which it should   offer basic accommodation at very low prices. That would mean  accommodation suitable to young people or to travellers with a limited economic capacity. We seized a special opportunity when we were offered  an  area of more than 200 square meters on the seventh floor of  Medina skyscraper, usually called  “grattacielo Jolly” as  several floors  from the 14th  floor on are used by Jolly Hotel. The idea of creating a very elegant B&B is  economically dangerous as travellers  with a good budget usually prefer hotels. Facing  such a difficult task  attracted us  and we decided to finalise our programme. Architects and  fitters started working and after several trials finalised a project. A  full year of hard work and  the six bedrooms each with a private bathroom were ready.

Today Fiorentini is an  elegant and comfortable guest-house situated in the heart of Naples at about 100 metres from Piazza Municipio, Molo Beverello (from which you can leave for Capri, Ischia, Procida, Sorrento), via Toledo, piazza del Plebiscito, San Carlo opera house, the Royal Palace and the main shopping area.
The archaeological sites , the ancient Greek Naples and the Roman decumans are five minutes away. Spaccanapoli, San Gregorio Armeno, the Concert house, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale are all close at hand.
From Piazza Municipio you can easily move to Pozzuoli, Baia and all other districts by public transport. Also the archaeological sites of Pompei and Ercolano are no more than half an hour distance by train.
All rooms with bathrooms en-suite are elegant, spacious and well furnished with pieces produced by Neapolitan artisans. Some drawings of the well-known artist Riccardo D´Alisi decorate the walls.

How to get to Fiorentini
From Piazza Municipio follow Via Medina for about 100 meters, take the forth side-street immediately after Jolly Hotel. In the corner a sign indicates that Fiorentini  is 10 meters ahead Via dei Fiorentini, 21 , A  7th floor. Both lifts are free.   You will find four different parking areas within 5o meters.
From  Naples International airport, (8 Km distance).Pick up Alibus and get off at Piazza Municipio stop. Take Via Medina  and follow the itinerary mentioned above.
From Naples railway station. Take a tram  and get off at Piazza Municipio or bus R02, Via Medina stop.
From Naples Mergellina station. Take a tram to Piazza Municipio.
By car, motorway Rome-Naples or motorway Salerno-Naples: follow the sign “zona porto/Centro”. At Piazza Municipio follow the itinerary mentioned above.
By Taxi ask the driver to take you to Hotel Jolly, Via Medina. Follow the sign to Fiorentini which is 10 meters ahead.

Location: Via dei Fiorentini 21, Medina skyscraper, at 200 metres from San Carlo Opera House, Politeama, Castel Nuovo, Galleria Umberto. The flat is located on 7th floor, independent entrance, 2 lifts, both free.

Typology: bedroom, dinning room with a kitchen in a separate area, bathroom. Surface: 40 square metres / Bed space: 2+2 (bed sofa ) / Facilities: hot water, air conditioning, heating, washing/drying machine, television, internet ADSL, telephone / Bathroom with large shower / Openings: two windows/ Furniture: functional, completely new.

Via Chiaja, 220 Naples (refurbished in 2009)
Located in Via Chiaja 200 at 100 metres from Piazza dei Martiri. The flat is situated on 4 th floor, independent entrance. Free lift. Distance from some places of interest: 150 meters from: San Carlo Opera House, Castel Nuovo, Galleria Umberto I, 500 meters from the old Greek and Roman Naples and the historical centre.

Typology: Total are of the flat 37 square metres. Large area, about 25 square metres containing a bed, a convertible sofa, a table with chairs, a cupboard. / The kitchen is in a different room connected with the main room by a sliding door /  Bed space: 2 / Facilities: hot water, air conditioning, radiator heating system, washing/drying machine, television, internet ADSL. Bathroom with large shower and window / Openings: small terrace balcony, kitchen window, bathroom window / Furniture: functional, completely new.

How to get to Via Chiaja

From  Capodichino, Naples international airport (8 km)
Take Alibus or  bus 35  (departure each 20 minutes) and get off  at  Piazza Municipio. Walk to Piazza Trieste e Trento, and  along Via Chiaja. The flat is in  the same building where Luisa Spagnoli boutique is. Walking distance 10 minutes.
From Naples central railway  station
Take on the tram N. 1 towards Fuorigrotta, get off at Piazza Municipio walk to Via Chiaja as mentioned above. If you take bus N. R2 you will get off at Teatro San Carlo and from there you will walk to Piazza Trieste e Trento and to Via Chiaja.
From the railway station of Naples Mergellina
It is advisable to pick up a taxi to Via Chjaia.
By car
From the north (A1 Rome-Naples) and from the south (motorway Salerno-Naples) follow the signs
“Porto/Via Marittima” and reach  Piazza Municipio. Leave  your car in a garage and walk to Via Chiaja.

CAPPELLA VECCHIA FLAT, Via Santa Maria a Cappella Vecchia, Naples

Location: Via Cappella Vecchia, 24 where the most important antique shops are. At 50 metres from Piazza dei Martiri /second floor without elevator. Independent entrance / Distance from some places of Interest: 500 meters from San Carlo Opera House, Castel Nuovo, Galleria Umberto I,  50 meters from the Pedestrian Area, 800 meters from the old Greek and Roman Naples and the historical centre /

How to get to via  S. Maria A Cappella Vecchia

From Capodichino, Naples international airport
Bus 35 or alibus (departure each 20 minutes). Get off at Piazza Municipio  and take tram N. 1 towards Fuorigrotta. Get off at Piazza Vittoria and walk along via Calabritto, Piazza dei Martiri and Via S. Maria a Cappella Vecchia.
From Naples central railway station
Take  a tram towards Fuorigrotta and get off at Piazza Vittoria. Follow the itinerary mentioned above.
From the railway station of Naples Mergellina
It is advisable to pick up a taxi which would cost no more than 7 Euros.
By car
From the north (A1 Rome-Naples) and from the south (motorway Salerno-Naples) follow the signs
“Porto/Via Marittima”  pass Piazza Municipio and after the tunnel turn right to Piazza dei Martiri. Here you should get into via Cappella Vecchia which sides the big book-shop called Feltrinelli.
